Yorkshire Dales Wedding
The real advantage to living in Yorkshire (for me at least) is having the Yorkshire Dales as my back garden. From Masham to Malham, the valleys and peaks running through various walking trails and picturesque villages makes the Yorkshire Dales one of my absolute favourite parts of the country, not to mention some of the best country pubs you can imagine! I really am spoilt being so close. Picture my utter delight, therefore, when I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Katie & Andy’s beautiful autumnal wedding last October in Nidderdale, an area of outstanding natural beauty and heart of the Yorkshire Dales - what a treat it was for my eyes!
After completing a park run in the morning, Katie and her bridesmaids had their hair and make up done at the family home in Ripon before we made our way to the church in nearby Winksley for their gorgeous wedding ceremony. Andy wore his ceremonial military garb while Katie looked just incredible in her wedding dress. The service was wonderful and afterwards we lined up outside for a confetti shot before heading off to Little Seed Field where a marquee had been set up for their reception. We had a stop en route for a few Yorkshire Dales wedding inspired portraits (amongst the sheep!) Then on to the marquee and we made the most of the crags round the back for some hilarious and wonderful family and group shots. Food and speeches followed shortly after and then we danced the night away into the early hours with wood fired pizza to keep the energy levels up. What a fabulous day, congratulations you two and thanks so much to all involved for making it so special and I’m so proud of all the photos we took. Yorkshire coming up trumps once again. Special shout out to Lucy at Lucy Wright Events for helping me out throughout the day and to Chris from Dough Eyed for his delicious pizza - Yorkshire Dales weddings for the win!
