Amanda and Chris’ gorgeous September wedding took place at The Saddle Room by The Forbidden Corner in North Yorkshire. It was such a glorious autumn day and the surrounding Yorkshire countryside was, as it always is, in fine fettle. This was my first venture to the Saddle Room wedding venue and what a stunning hidden gem of a spot it turned out to be. Set in the grounds of the Tupgill Park Estate on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales it has absolutely everything you could possible dream of for an idyllic country wedding, not to mention the intriguing allure of The Forbidden Corner!

Amanda and Chris stayed the night before and got themselves ready in the morning in the adjacent cottages. Our groom had a rather fetching tweed suit (jealous) while Amanda opted for an amazing floral number. I absolutely admire her vision to break the norm and go for something other than a pure white dress and she looked just incredible. The colours and theme matched her bridesmaids’ aquamarine dresses as well as her bouquet not to mention her incredible shoes. Just look at all those incredible colours, I love it!

The ceremony at The Saddle Room was wonderful and followed by bubbly on the lawn in front of the house with an incredible view of the Yorkshire countryside. We snuck off for a few quick photos at this point before heading back for food and speeches. Using the beautiful little lake at the bottom of the road as a backdrop we took some lovely portraits before being photobombed by the geese who seem to think they own the place! Food followed, which was of course to die for, and later we made use of the incredible Birdie Photobooth and her wonderful props (especially those panda heads). If you aren’t aware of Birdie you definitely need to check her out - she’s a beautiful VW camper that’s been transformed into a real life working photobooth complete with props and your very own name in lights - thoroughly recommended indeed. We danced the night away to a live band and it was the perfect end to a simply fabulous wedding. Yorkshire never lets me down and Amanda and Chris were just wonderful the whole day. Thanks to all involved and especially to the lovely Saddle Room staff for all their help on the day. Let’s do it all again soon please!
