Barford Park Barn Wedding
Oh my gosh - this wedding! I’ve been absolutely dying to write a blog about Charlotte & Duncan’s spectacular big day since it happened in August 2021 at Barford Park Barn, a fair old road trip for me from Yorkshire but absolutely worth every mile. What a day it turned out to be. Charlotte got in touch way back at the beginning of lockdown when it became apparent that their original wedding plans weren’t going to come to fruition. As a result they were forced to postpone and their original photographer was unable to commit to the new date. Good news for me, however, as I was given the role and had the pleasure of documenting their stunning day.
The ceremony took place at St Mary’s Church - a beautiful 13th century Anglo-Saxon church in the village of Breamore, Hampshire. Charlotte arrived to her wedding in style, chauffeured in a vintage Rolls Royce with mum and dad. It was a real family affair because the ceremony was taken by the local vicar who just happened to be Charlotte’s grandmother! After the “I do’s” we emerged into the glorious summer sunshine with a confetti tunnel and some sunny group shots at the grand church entrance before heading to nearby Barford Park Barn for the reception.
For me the wonderful thing about their chosen venue, Barford Park Barn, is the amount of outside space and when the sun shines it really makes the whole venue come to life. Our couple had set up garden games on the huge front lawn to entertain their guests (young and old alike!) Shortly after we headed inside to sit down for speeches and a beautiful three course meal before I stole the couple away for a few quick portraits, making the most of the early evening summer sunshine and glorious surrounds of the local countryside. Celebrations then continued into the night with donuts galore (I know!) live music and a full dance floor, it was the perfect end to an absolutely stunning wonderful wedding and one I was overjoyed to be a part of. Thanks so much for having me along to take your photos and congratulations Charlotte & Duncan!
