Sarah & Jonathan’s gorgeous summer wedding took place in Buckinghamshire in August last year amid the glorious bank holiday sunshine. It was quite a trek for me from Leeds but I was so happy to be a part of their day and it was well worth every mile. Sarah had her hair and makeup done at her parents’ beautiful house before we made our way to Chalfont St Peter and the parish church which is also where her parents married many years ago. She looked amazing in her stunning wedding dress and veil and Jonathan equally dapper in his wedding suit. The ceremony was traditional with friends and family in attendance before we threw our confetti and headed off to nearby Chenies Manor for the reception.
Chenies Manor is a stunning Tudor house in the Buckinghamshire countryside surrounded by the most beautifully looked after gardens with all manner of colourful flowers and wonderful plants - a perfect setting for a beautiful wedding! We had a champagne reception on the lawn with delicious canapés before a handful of group photos amongst the flowers. A quick few sunny portraits and a lap of the house and gardens proceeded shortly after before settling down in the summer house for the speeches and a three course meal. Jonathan’s speech was fantastic and hit all the right notes while the food was to die for! Sarah’s mum had decorated the entire room with the most amazing array of colourful dahlias - the results just speak for themselves (see the photos below)
We finished the night off with a quick dash to a nearby field to catch the last of the sunset for a some amazing portraits before dancing the night away to their magnificent band Truly Medley Deeply. What a fantastic day, Chenies Manor is such an amazing setting for a sunny outdoor wedding and this one was pretty perfect! Thanks Sarah & Jonathan for having me along and for being so great on the day, also to all involved in making it so special. What a fabulous wedding, I’d love to be back at Chenies again soon.
