Becky & Tom’s beautiful summer wedding took place in July at Swancar Farm Country House near Nottingham. A picturesque private estate set amongst 250 acres of stunning Nottinghamshire countryside, it offers a fabulous rural backdrop for weddings and when the sun shines (like it did for Becky & Tom) it really is the perfect spot for a wedding celebration.
Our couple both got ready on-site in the gorgeous accommodation available at Swancar Farm which meant I could document them both in their preparations on the morning of the wedding, Tom with his father and groomsmen and Becky alongside her family and bridesmaids with the bubbly! The wedding ceremony took place upstairs in the gallery room with it’s characterful oak beams and exposed brickwork in front of nearest and dearest before we headed out into the sunny courtyard for canapés, fizz and confetti. A few posed group shots on the steps of the house followed before we all headed inside for a delicious meal in the Oak Hall. Speeches came next featuring an incredible singing flash mob comprising Becky’s talented and very musical friends and family, of which our bride had absolutely no idea until it was happening in front of her; cue lots of shocked faces and a wide selection of hilarious photos.
As the sun was setting we took a walk to the adjacent fields for some gorgeous portraits amongst the growing wheat before heading back inside for a first dance and a seriously good party with a live band and DJ. What a fabulous day, what a wedding and what a wonderful group of lovely people. Thanks to all the staff at Swancar Farm for helping out and thanks so much to Becky & Tom for being so magnificent on the day and having me along to document it all! Can you tell I enjoyed myself?
