Emily and Alex married in July of this year at the beautiful Crayke Manor in a small village called Easingwold near York - a 16th century Jacobean Manor House with adjoining stables. It’s a perfect spot for a wedding and allowed Emily and Alex to really put their stamp on the venue with their beautiful decorations. Also helped by the fact that it was one of the hottest days of the year (and I mean it was REALLY hot) which meant most of the day was outside in the glorious sunshine. Much of the wedding party stayed at Crayke Manor the night before which made for a lovely relaxed wedding morning. The ceremony took place on the front lawn and the house itself made fo a perfect backdrop in the sunshine against the stunning bright blue sky. Guitarist and singer Danny Firth provided a musical element to proceedings and it all just looked amazing!
After champagne and nibbles we snuck off for a few portraits in the long grass - one of the. best things about Crayke Manor is the surrounding grounds and fields which make for a perfect photo opportunity. After that followed speeches and food in the converted stables - the table setup and decorations made my eyes very happy and look amazing on the photos with all the fairy lights thinking away in the background. The evening continued outside with cocktails and pizza before we partied into the early hours to a live band and DJ.
It was such a glorious day, Crayke Manor is fast becoming one of my absolute favourite venues and when the sun shines on the surrounding North Yorkshire countryside there’s not many better wedding locations! Thanks so much to Emily and Alex for having me along to take their photos and to everyone else involved in making it such a special wedding. I have a couple more here in 2022 and I cannot wait to go back.
