Hannah and Fergus had their wedding ceremony at St Wilfrid’s Church in picturesque Burnsall - a small but beautiful village set against the stunning backdrop of the Yorkshire Dales’ rolling hills. Hannah looked absolutely amazing in her stunning wedding dress and Fergus equally dapper in his morning suit. The church had been decorated beautifully with fresh local flowers lovingly placed down the aisle and at the entrance. St Wilfrid's Church history goes right back to its foundation by St Wilfrid of Ripon before the year 700AD and during a refurbishment in the mid 19th Century, a number of Viking stones and artefacts were discovered. The sense of history seeps from every stone and it’s a most beautiful setting for a Yorkshire wedding. Their ceremony was to die for and as the couple signed the register the guests were treated to a beautiful hymn performed solo by one of Fergus’ groomsmen.
After the I Do’s our bride and groom went for a spin in Hannah’s Dad’s amazing vintage Aston Martin through the Yorkshire Dales before arriving - in some style - at the family farm in the countryside near Burnsall for a marquee reception. As the guests arrived in the garden we had canapés and fizz and some family photos before the speeches began. Afterwards we managed to hop over the wall and sneak off into the adjacent field for some beautiful couple portraits (Hannah changed into her wellies on especially!) with the rolling Yorkshire hills as a stunning backdrop - what a gorgeous part of the world Burnsall is!
After sitting down for a delicious three course meal there was ceilidh and disco dancing aplenty, a fantastic way to see the night off in style. Shapes were thrown and do-si’s were do’d by all the family into the wee hours and I have ALL the photographic evidence!
Huge congratulations to Hannah and Fergus! Thanks for having me along for the day and to all for making it so special. Here’s to a lifetime of happiness, laughter, and love together.
