Rebecca and Liam’s gorgeous autumnal Yorkshire wedding took place at St Stephen’s Catholic Church in Skipton. Our bride and her bridesmaids got ready at The Linton Laithe near Grassington, a stunning converted barn rented now as a B&B in the Yorkshire Dales before heading to the church for her ceremony. Liam was waiting with his best men and all the guests at the church while an amazing gospel choir entertained from the balcony above. St Stephen’s is an amazing and sizeable church in the heart of Skipton town centre with beautiful stained glass windows and a grand altar, built in the 1830’s, a perfect choice for a wedding.
After the couple said their I Do’s in front of the congregation we hopped outside for a confetti throw and some lovely group shots before making our way to Burnsall. We stopped en route at the bridge over the River Wharfe in Burnsall for a few more group shots and some beautiful couple portraits with the rolling hills of the Yorkshire Dales as an amazing backdrop. It’s a handsome and quaint little village in the dales with amazing views in every direction.
After a quick walk through the streets we arrived at Burnsall Village Hall where the decor had been beautifully set up with the help of Sian from Chaplin Events. She’d decorated the tables so beautifully with flowers, candles and beautifully elegant crockery and cutlery ready for the feeding! After food we had speeches before I stole the couple away for another quick ten minutes for photos as the sun set over the surrounding Yorkshire countryside.
Following was a live band to entertain the guests and we partied into the small hours to see the night off in style. What a beautiful wedding it was and thanks to everyone involved in helping make it so magnificent. Congratulations Rebecca and Liam and thanks for inviting me along to capture your special day!
“We cannot recommend Matt enough! From our first chat we were confident that he would be someone we’d be really comfortable with having around throughout our wedding and that we would really trust him but he was even better than we could have hoped for.
He put everyone at ease (my mam loved him!) and he was so efficient in getting through all of our group shots without being pushy or interrupting the flow of things. Looking back at videos I had no idea that he was there for most of the time as he blended in so well and was so natural, but every time we thought that there was a nice opportunity for a posed picture I’d look up and he was there ready to take it.
He was also incredible at getting preview pictures sent over really quickly the day after, and we could not have asked for more perfect pictures. My husband keeps calling him a genius and I completely agree! He worked so quickly but captured everything so beautifully and we could not be more grateful” - REBECCA
