The Old Barn at Esholt Wedding

Claire & James’ beautiful springtime wedding took place in Leeds at a venue very local to me, The Old Barn at Esholt. Originally an 18th-century Yorkshire stone barn, this beautiful wedding venue has been restored beautifully to preserve its historic charm and character. The stunning open beams wrapped in fairy lights and soaring, draped ceilings exudes a perfect blend of rustic character and elegant ambiance - fabulous!

Claire looked absolutely amazing in her gorgeous dress and James equally dapper in his tweed checked suit. Our couple’s chosen wedding ceremony venue was their local church, St James’ in Seacroft, East Leeds, where Claire & James said “I Do” in front of nearest and dearest before marching outside for a confetti throw, a few group shots and some beautiful portraits in the churchyard. The sun shone on us and afterwards we headed across Leeds in style to The Old Barn at Esholt in a vintage VW camper van where the fun and games began - the golf driving range next-door even gained itself a few wedding customers in their Sunday best.

The Old Barn had been beautifully decorated and we sat down for speeches before a delicious three course meal. I snuck out with the bride and groom to the bridge over the nearby river for a few more sneaky portraits before heading back to the barn in time for the evening party to begin. There was a fantastic DJ and Claire & James performed their first dance and we partied into the night. What a fantastic fantastic day, thank you so much to Claire & James for having me along to take photos and for being so wonderful all day long. Thank you also to the whole team behind The Old Barn at Esholt for looking after me and helping to organise everything. I can’t wait to go back in 2025!
