Let me start by saying how much I love a destination wedding, especially when I get to be photographer. I really love travelling for my photography work, all the more when I’m treated to beautiful places like Nerja on the south coast of Spain where the awesome wedding of Mari-Anne and Grant took place last month. The Spanish sunshine is just on another level to Yorkshire sunshine (funnily enough) and it shone really hard on these two beautiful humans! They married at the Cortijo Maria Luisa which is just outside the town of Nerja and really makes the most of the stunning Costa Del Sol surroundings and views; just look at those palm trees, the incredible mountains all around and not to mention an outdoor pool (which became more of a feature as the evening’s celebrations went carried on into the wee hours!) Mari-Anne looked just amazing in her dress and beautiful veil, while Grant opted for the traditional kilt being the proud Scotsman that he is. Their two young daughters Orla and Hope were bridesmaids and just looked amazing in their matching dresses as they walked mum down the aisle to meet a nervous Dad in waiting. It was a perfect ceremony and one I’ll remember for a long time due to the beautiful setting. The whole day was just wonderful, an outdoor ceremony amongst friends and family, the most delicious local Spanish food and drink, and one heck of a good party to finish the day off in style, not to mention the sparklers. Thanks so much to all involved, especially to Mari-Anne and Grant for looking after me so well and having me along to photograph the most special of weddings. What a treat, I’m already missing the local tapas. Feast your eyes on all the images below, it’s a big one this time!
