Armathwaite Hall Wedding, Lake District

Sophie & Conor’s wedding was just delightful. These two lovebirds began their romance at university and you can see how perfect they are for one another in everything they do. This was a wedding filled with laughter, they were so natural in front of the camera and we had so much fun taking LOADS of photographs. First of all, they chose a pretty perfect spot for their wedding. The ceremony took place at Keswick’s Parish Church of St John, and let me state for the record now just how much I am in love with the Lake District. Keswick is a beautiful little village with the most incredible surrounding mountains and stunning landscape. We then travelled up to Armathwaite Hall on the banks of Lake Bassenthwaite (the only official lake in the Lake District might I add) for the reception. The views and surrounding countryside are, you guessed it, just phenomenal. The views of the lake from the Hotel are to die for and it’s impossible to take a bad photo!

Also (more importantly) these two lovelies made my day so much fun. They laughed and giggled their way through the entire day and it was a pleasure to capture. Sophie looked just stunning in her dress from Marrime in Keswick, and they make a beautiful couple I’m sure you’ll agree! Sophie was brought up local to Keswick and almost the entire village turned up to watch and wish her well as she and her father entered the church for the ceremony. It was a special moment and I was so glad to be there to capture it all. What a fabulous, hilarious, beautiful and smiley wedding it was from start to finish. Thank you so much to Sophie & Conor for having me along to take some lovely photos and to all the team at Armathwaite Hall for looking after me so well. Enjoy!
