Today’s wedding comes at you all the way from Bashall Barn near Clitheroe. I made the trip over the Pennines to photograph Amber and Matt’s big day last August bank holiday, and it was so wonderful. Evidence if evidence was ever needed that the rain needn’t stop you from enjoying your wedding day! And boy did it rain, and then rain some more, and then not stop raining literally all day long in true August bank holiday wedding fashion. Fortunately Amber and Matt had chosen the beautiful Bashall Barn as their venue and there’s plenty scope for gorgeous photos indoors all round the venue. I was with Matt in the morning as he got ready for the big day ahead and he was so calm and collected, the wedding nerves definitely weren’t affecting him one bit. Amber looked gorgeous in her wedding dress and as she arrived you could feel the emotion in the room from all in attendance. The ceremony room is so beautiful and light and it looked gorgeous as the bride and groom said their I Do’s in front of friends and family, and the balcony immediately outside is under cover so we managed to pop out for some group shots and a quick confetti line.
Bashall Barn is of course an actual real life working farm, which excites me greatly because we nipped down the lane to the cow shed before sitting down for food and took some amazing bovine themed portraits (again indoors, and a real assault on the nose!) Speeches followed soon after before an delicious three course meal, cake cutting and all the dance floor action you could possibly want from a Saturday night in Lancashire. Amber and Matt were great sports all day long and looked after me so well throughout the day. I’m so happy with all the photos we took. Thanks to all involved, and hope to see you again soon Bashall Barn!
