Anna & Toby’s May wedding at The Tithe Barn by Bolton Abbey was absolutely wonderful - a perfect mix of traditional elegance and informal loveliness! I had such a great time with these two fabulous humans and didn’t stop smiling all day long. Anna and her bridesmaids got ready at The Red Lion hotel just up the road in Burnsall while Toby spent his morning at The Devonshire Arms just round the corner. The wonderful Fi Farrelly was Anna’s make up artist and her flowers were the work of Vanessa Wild Flowers in Ilkley and both did such an incredible job, Anna looked just incredible! The wedding car which took her to the church was a real life actual tuk tuk and it was such a fab touch. The Priory Church within the grounds of Bolton Abbey itself was the setting for their ceremony and it’s such a beautiful big church with glorious big windows and all the natural light I could ever wish for; a beautiful ceremony location.
After the I do’s we had a few quick shots in grounds of Bolton Abbey itself before carrying on the celebrations at The Tithe Barn just up the road. This was my first time at The Tithe Barn and it was just perfect, what a wonderful setting for a wedding celebration. The views across to Bolton Abbey are stunning and it’s so wonderfully decorated inside - literally a converted barn complete with huge wooden beams and all the gorgeous exposed brickwork I could ever need! After drinks and canapés we settled down for food and speeches. In between I snuck Anna and Toby outside to the surrounding sheep field for some quick golden hour portraits and I love them so much - the Yorkshire countryside gleaming in all it’s natural beauty! After cutting the cake we hit the dance floor to the amazing sound of Kibitz - a klezmer band who kept the party going into the wee hours. The Tithe Barn really comes alive at night, all the fairy lights and candles twinkled away making for some gorgeous backdrops. Thanks for having me!
